Crook League: Crook Royal Sun recorded their best win of the season when they only dropped one point to the visiting league leaders, Crook Queen's Head A to move one point behind the new joint leaders. Three teams, Crook Queen's Head A, Crook Belle Vue and Crook Travellers Rest B, now share pole position in the First Division.
Only John Howarth managed to put a point on the board for the Queen's Head A, whilst the points for the Royal Sun came from Paul Emerson, James Moss, Andrew Heyes, John Hunt and Kenny Smith, with Smith and Hunt adding the doubles.
In the Second Division, Crook White Swan B went down in the deciding doubles at Crook King's Head, allowing Willington Brewer's Droop to go one point clear at the top, but leaving the Swan B still two ahead of Crook Spitfire Club.
The King's Head had points from John Roberts, Lynsey Crosby and Andrew Fleming with Stephen Dawson, Andrew Finch and Louie Holmes squaring the match. In the deciding doubles, the King's went to victory when Andrew Fleming and John Roberts beat Dave Brown and Andrew Finch.

Sylvia Goodall made a very welcome return to captain the Tow Law New Market A team in style with a win over hosts Tow Law Station B landlord, Paul McMenamin but sadly fail to see her team follow her lead for that was the only point they scored. The Station B moved one point clear at the top of the table with wins from Alan Henderson, Gary Watson, Colin Armstrong and Ray Weir. Tow Law Cattle Mart only dropped one point on their visit to reigning champions, Newhouse Club to move into second place with a one point lead over Wolsingham Club. Coors League
Billy Row Club made a good start to the new season when they took the last two doubles to force an odd point victory on their visit to Hamsteels Inn. The home side had singles wins from Brian Barron, Graeme Forster and Bob Forster but the Club were able to level with wins from Les Hopps, Gary Walsh and Harold Parkin. Hamsteels went ahead by taking the first doubles but the Club forced victory by taking the second and then the decider.
