A GUISBOROUGH estate will be the centre of attention next week when a multi-agency taskforce embarks on a busy five-day maintenance activity programme - as well as providing entertainment for youngsters.
Operation Bowl - Blitz On Wilton Lane - is a co-ordinated response involving Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, Coast and Country Housing, Cleveland police, Cleveland Fire Brigade, Liberata, McAlpines, Sure Start and the Youth Inclusion Project.
The work, which starts on Monday, includes the installation of new dog bins and litter bins, free dog micro-chipping, graffiti removal, housing repairs, street cleaning and grounds maintenance.
There will also be a series of advice surgeries with help on money and debt issues, welfare, housing, council tax and consumer topics, plus home fire safety checks and crime prevention tips.
The Youth Inclusion Project will offer lighter moments, too, with African drumming, circus skills and break dancing, while Sure Start will have storytelling and a toy library promotion.
