A LITTLE star has scored a hat-trick at the very start of the show season.
Harland Primrose, known as Popple, won the Mountain and Moorland lead rein at the North Yorkshire Show, was first and champion at Malton Show and was first and reserve champion at the NCPA show at Kirkleatham, all in one week.
She is owned and bred by Mr and Mrs C G Frank, who farm at Ingleby Barwick, and produced by the Emmerson team at Kirkby in Cleveland.
Sired by Waitwith Jeronimo, the pony's dam Dukeshill Sahne was daughter Rosie's lead rein pony and a prolific winner, both ridden and in-hand.
Her mother, Pauline, said: "We are all thrilled with Popple's success as she is dwarfed by other ponies but makes up for her size by her extravagant movement. She is an absolute star.
