TWINS Samantha and Lucy Pern passed their driving test on the same day - just as their father and his twin brother did 30 years ago.
The girls, from Prudhoe, Northumberland, turned 17 in February but had expert tuition from father Richard, who is a driving instructor.
He said: "It has been nice taking them on lessons, but it is a lot harder teaching your own daughters than your regular pupils.
"There has been a lot of pressure because one was doing better one week and the other the next, so it's been a different kind of challenge.
"Even though my twin Charlie and I passed on the same day in 1976 there was no pressure on Samantha and Lucy to take the test on the same day. But they rose to the challenge and have done really well."
