A GIANT hedgehog and cockerel were pushed around a football stadium at the weekend to raise money for a worthy cause - the Butterwick Hospice.
Nando's restaurant, in Middlesbrough, has chosen the hospice as its adopted charity and organised a sponsored bed push at Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium.
The bed was pushed by the Boro Peri-Peri Troopers and on board was Spike, the hospice's mascot, and Barci, Nando's 7ft cockerel mascot.
The event was held as part of the restaurant's charity foundation week, which took place from last Monday until yesterday.
Anyone who would like to take part in fundraising in aid of the hospice is asked to contact Sara Benson, at the hospice's fundraising department, on (01642) 624231.
