STAFF and customers from a Chester-le-Street pub have completed a coast-to-coast bike ride.
Eighteen regulars and bar tenders from the Black Horse Inn made the 142-mile journey over two days at the weekend.
They set off from Workington in Cumbria and ended at Roker Marina in Sunderland. The group hopes the event will help it reach its £10,000 target for Children With Leukaemia.
Licensee Irene Boyers has held a number of events at the pub this year and is now confident of securing the cash.
She said: "There has been a brilliant response from people in the pub and they have been bringing in bags of stuff to sell at car boot sales.
"When you talk to people who have experience with leukaemia they are more than happy to help."
A celebration buffet was held on the cyclists' return on Sunday.
