A PRIMARY school is celebrating after receiving a glowing report from Ofsted.
Clavering Primary School, in Hartlepool, is said to be an effective school where children achieve well.
Inspectors visited the school in May and their report praises the leadership of head Tony Metcalfe and acknowledged the support of other members of staff, governors and parents.
Mr Metcalfe said; "We are delighted with the report, which reflects the hard work of so many people, including pupils and their parents, staff and governors.
"The key to our success is teamwork, with everyone pulling together in the same direction to try to ensure we provide the highest possible standards of education for our children."
The report said: "The school provides a good curriculum that is enriched with a very good range of activities, experiences and learning opportunities for pupils.
"Provision for pupils with special educational needs is good. A good level of care is provided by staff for the emotional and physical needs of all its pupils."
The only areas identified for improvement were the need to raise standards achieved in writing by more able pupils and improve pupils' accuracy in spelling generally.
