A NEW fleet of refuse collection vehicles are taking to the roads in Richmondshire.
The eight vehicles will collect the rubbish generated from all local businesses, as well as more than 19,000 homes.
The refuse collection service recently received an 89 per cent high quality satisfaction rating in a residents survey, and has one of the lowest collection costs nationally.
Contract services manager Mike Slee said: "We are proud to be able to provide a service that is so highly regarded by residents.
"As well as the new equipment, we have a very efficient and well-established refuse collection team. I believe their friendly and helpful attitudes are a key contributing factor to our success."
