A sculpture inspired by birds in flight was installed in a Stockton park yesterday.
The artist William Pym created the sculpture entitled Three Way, which can be seen at Tilery Park, near Norton School and Albany Bridge.
The sculpture, which is made out of steel, has three arms at the top, which when seen from the side depicts a flying bird.
Stockton Borough Council commissioned the sculpture in connection with ARTS UL Ltd.
Keith Matthews, environmental projects officer for the council, said: "The installation of this sculpture is a great example of how the council is committed to showing the work of local artists in a variety of different environments."
