Businesses are being encouraged to join a trade mission to India.
The UK Trade and Investment mission, in October, is looking for ten companies to take part in the trip which will boost exports to one of the world's fastest-growing economies.
Trade Missions North-East, organiser of UK Government-sponsored missions, has arranged a week-long visit to Mumbai and Bangalore, giving companies five days in which to explore business opportunities.
There are opportunities for companies in markets including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, creative industries, healthcare, finance, computer services and power.
The companies will receive a briefing on the potential gains and possible pitfalls of doing business in India.
Small and medium-sized companies will qualify for a UK Trade and Investment Travel Grant of £550.
The deadline for joining the trip is July 23. For more information, contact Joan Bowley at Business Link Tees Valley, on (01642) 341403.
