A supermarket in Stockton is to be renovated and transformed.
Sainsbury's recently bought the Whitehouse Farm Safeway in Bishopton Road West.
Work will start on refurbishing and rebranding the store today and it is due to reopen on Wednesday, September 1.
Facilities at the new 24,500sq ft Sainsbury's will include refurbished meat, deli, hot food and bakery counters, a new fish counter and non-food offer.
The in-store pharmacy will also be refurbished. During the work, the pharmacy will be temporarily relocated to a portable unit located in the car park of the Whitehouse Farm store.
Sue Wilson, Sainsbury's store manager, said: "I am pleased to confirm that the 158 former Safeway staff will be joining Sainsbury's.
"During the closure period our new colleagues will undergo training in preparation for the opening of the new store."
