TWO groups dedicated to stopping crime and troublemakers in Scarborough town centre are now on the same wavelength.
The town's Anti-Theft Group and Pub Watch have integrated their radio systems so members can talk to each other.
PC Mark Roberts, community safety officer with the Safer Communities Partnership, said: "Shopkeepers will be able to warn pub licensees that shoplifters have been operating, and similarly, licensees can warn shopkeepers of potential troublemakers.
"If shoplifters steal property and then go to a pub to sell or hide the goods, the licensees will know who to look out for.
"We are also hoping to expand the radio facility to other groups in the future to make the town centre environment even safer."
