YOUNGSTERS took part in a event yesterday to raise money to help stop child cruelty.
About 30 children, aged up to four, pushed or rode wheeled toys around a circuit at the Sure Start South Centre, in Hartlepool, in a sponsored event to raise funds for the NSPCC.
Avis Brough, parent support and education co-ordinator for Sure Start South, said: "This was a great way for the children to have a bit of fun, get some exercise and at the same time support a very worthy cause."
On Thursday July 22, between 1pm and 3pm, at Sure Start's Link Offices in Lealholm Road, Hartlepool, there will be a session to reward all those who took part in yesterday's event.
Certificates will also be presented to every youngster sponsored.
Money raised will help fund the NSPCC's services for children and families in the North-East.
