FITNESS fanatics in Darlington have been given a boost by the installation of equipment at a leisure centre.
Twenty-one Tomahawk spinning bikes, worth a total of £18,000, were put in place at the Dolphin Centre, in Darlington Market Square.
Darlington Primary Care Trust chief executive Colin Morris, a spinning instructor, was first to try out the facilities.
The centre runs spinning classes on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Mr Morris said: "Spinning is fantastic all-round exercise and is accessible to anybody, whether they are young or old, fit or not so fit."
