A family of ice cream makers is welcoming a third generation into the business.
Brymor Ice Cream was set up more than 20 years ago by farmer Brian Moore.
He took government advice and diversified when milk production from his Guernsey cows was reduced by quotas.
Brian, who is 69, is taking a back seat as chairman, while 40-year-old son Robert takes over the day-to-day running of the company as managing director.
Robert's daughter 13-year-old Nicola, is taking more than a passing interest in the business, helping behind the scenes in the family ice cream parlour at High Jervaulx, Masham, near Ripon, North Yorkshire.
Nicola's enthusiasm was fired when the company took part in the Leyburn Food Festival.
This week, she is working with her father at the Great Yorkshire Show, in Harrogate.
Meanwhile, Robert's ten-year-old twins, Tom and Ben, lend a hand on the farm by helping to look after the family's 120 Guernseys, who provide milk for the ice cream.
Robert said the interest shown by his children had grown gradually and they were helping whenever they could.
The twins know the milking cows so well they can recite their names.
Nicola, a pupil at Bedale High School, said she would like to work in the shop and office when she is older.
"By the interest and enthusiasm the youngsters are showing, it looks very much like the start of a third generation of the ice cream family," said Robert.
