SIX artists are making a visit to the local council offices a more colourful experience.
Ten pieces of art are on display in the foyer of the headquarters of Hambleton District Council, Northallerton.
Steve Tomlinson, of Stokesley, Sue Simpson and Julie Childs, of Northallerton, Clare Lindley, of Thornborough, Valerie Wilkinson, of Romanby, and Ann Hutchings, of Morton-on-Swale, have put paintings and embroidery into the exhibition.
The civic centre has recently undergone a revamp as part of a strategy by the authority to make access to services much easier.
A contact centre has been established as the first port of call for all telephone inquiries, the reception area has been refurbished to create a one-stop shop and self-service access points installed.
"Adding some artwork to the centre makes it more interesting and welcoming to the public," said arts development officer Kate Staines. "We hope they will enjoy having a look at it - and perhaps come up with suggestions for future exhibitions."
