A NORTH-East museum is inviting youngsters to get arty at workshops this summer.
Bowes Museum, in Barnard Castle, County Durham, is holding summer schools run by professional artists for 12 to 16-year-olds.
The workshops have been inspired by the museum's current exhibition, Boudin, Monet and the Sea Painters of Normandy.
The exhibition brings together works from all over the world by famous artists who painted the French coast more than 100 years ago.
The first workshops will take place from August 10 to 12 and will encourage youngsters to make sculptures inspired by the exhibition.
The second school is for two days from August 24 and will include a visit to Souter Lighthouse, in South Tyneside.
To enrol, call (01833) 690606.
