YOUNGSTERS at a north Durham school tucked into free fruit at a tasting session.
Sixty pupils at Newker Primary School, Waldridge Road, Chester-le-Street, took part in an activity day organised by school catering company Scolarest and Durham County Council.
They tried fruit which included melons, lychees, mangos, pineapples, oranges, strawberries and tomatoes.
Scolarest group manager Karen Burke said: "Fruit is a healthy snack and a great source of natural vitamins."
