Darlington's market square will be transformed into a beach complete with seaside entertainers this month.
Next Friday, people are invited to take their buckets and spades to the free Darlington By The Sea event from 11am to 5pm. Attractions will include a sandcastle competition and entertainment from Albert Alchemy with the Famous Lobster Show, street theatre show Nautical Nonsense and a Punch and Judy show.
