ONE of the most famous motorbike stunt teams in the world will be in action this weekend.
The Royal Signals display team, the White Helmets, will putting on a death-defying show when the Army holds its annual open day, in York, tomorrow.
Other attractions will include a freefall parachute display and a fly past by Second World War aircraft.
There will be the chance to see tanks, tackle an aerial ropeway, try an Army climbing wall or an obstacle course and see all the military vehicles and equipment.
Five military and cadet bands will serenade visitors who will also be able to enjoy Gurkha music and dancing, Highland dancing, martial arts demonstrations, historical society re-enactments and storytelling and face painting for younger children.
The open day, at Imphal Barracks, in Fulford Road, starts at 11am and finishes at 5pm.
Entry will be £3 for a family of up to four and £1.50 for individuals. All proceeds will go to charity.
