The heavy rains kept many anglers away from the reservoir last week. On the positive side, the water level has risen and the reservoir is almost full.
Another couple of browns have been caught and retuned. Bag of the week was again club member Peter Metcalfe with seven fish, all returned, and fish of the week a 3.5lb rainbow caught by fellow member K Fothergill. The usual buzzers and nymphs have done well and fish have been caught on bibios, black and peacocks and montanas. The most effective fly though has once again been the Dawson's olive. The rod averagewas 2.4.
