Coxhoe Cricketers Arms entertained Newton Aycliffe PWS in a match that produced the tightest finish in the league this season.
The home side batted first and made 112 when their 20 overs ran out with Kevin Pugh and Graham Thompson both making 25. The visitors were always on track to match the required scoring rate but then found they needed to push it near the end. Eventually they reached the point where they needed one run off the last ball. They managed to scramble the run to record a very close victory. Dave Copperlie led their scoring with 25 not out.
Shildon ISA entertained league leaders, Wolsingham and batted first but were dismissed for just 65 with Andy Sewell their top scorer on 10, whilst David Jewell took 2 for 6. Wolsingham raced to 67 for 1 in 11.1 overs with Josh Wilks unbeaten on 27 and David Jewell unbeaten on 25.
Ferryhill Surtees entertained West Auckland Blacksmith's Arms and batted first, reaching 104 all out. Glynn Woods and Stephen Kelly both made 25 for the home side. The Blacksmith's never looked like reaching their target despite 28 each from Carl McGregor and Mike Smith. Andrew Iley proved their major destroyer when he took 3 for 7.
