TICKETS are now on sale for The Northern Echo's CD launch gig.
North-East bands The Shining, The Fray and Eskimo will launch their CDs and perform at the event at The Forum Music Centre, Darlington, on Friday, July 30.
The event is part of the Revolution music website's Platform series, designed to promote musicians from the region and from different music genres.
Darlington five-piece band The Shining will play an assortment of soulful rock, with long jams and improvisation.
The Fray, also from Darlington, are an enthusiastic emerging rock act who have only been performing together live for six-months.
They have created a fantastic original rock sound, with elements of blues.
Richmond acoustic folk act Eskimo will also perform with their constantly evolving line-up of fiddles, violins and keys. Their new CD is called Long Stories Short.
The gig is being staged in conjunction with radio station 96.6tfm and streetwear store Fourth Chamber.
Tickets are £3.50 and can be bought by cheque or debit/credit card by contacting Sean Leonard on (01325) 505269.
