A PROCESSION of classic cars will make their way to the Kirkleatham Almshouses in a parade through the streets of Redcar and Marske a week tomorrow.
Scores of vehicles will leave Redcar seafront at 1.30pm and travel through the two seaside towns before arriving at Sir William Turner's Almshouses, at Kirkleatham, near Redcar, at about 2pm.
Most of the cars on show are owned by members of the Teesside Yesteryear Motor Club, were made from the 1940s to 1960s. They range from Alvis to Triumph.
A club spokesperson said: "We met at Kirkleatham last year and the beautiful setting proved to be one of the most popular venues with our members."
South Bank Brass Band will provide music throughout the afternoon and refreshments will be available.
The courtyard of the Alms-houses will be open from 1.30pm and the ancient chapel will be open from 2pm.
Organiser Peter Sotheran said: "We hope that people will enjoy an afternoon of nostalgia and take the opportunity to explore east Cleveland's most historic building."
Admission to the event, which will run between 1.30pm and 4.30pm, is £1 for adults and 50p for accompanied children.
