FOUR people were arrested yesterday in a series of police raids at 12 properties in Darlington.
Three men and a woman were arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of controlled drugs.
All four were later released on police bail, pending further inquiries.
A Durham Constabulary spokeswoman said a team of plain-clothed and uniformed officers took part in the operation and recovered amphetamines with a street value of about £10,000, heroin and cannabis, a number of offensive weapons and several hundered pounds in cash.
The first swoop was at 7am, with the operation continuing throughout the morning and early afternoon at properties in the Firthmoor, Skerne Park, North Road and Geneva Road areas of the town.
Detective Sergeant Brian Wilkes said: "We are committed to making Darlington streets safer for law abiding members of the community and to that end, we will continue to target those who pedal drugs."
