STARS from the cast of ITV soap Emmerdale will be in the region tomorrow for a charity cricket match.
They will take on Crakehall Cricket Club, near Bedale, which has organised the day to raise money for children's cancer charity Candlelighters.
As well as the cricket match there will be stalls, face painting and raffles.
A charity auction will follow the cricket match, with prizes including an hour in the flight simulator at RAF Leeming.
The two teams last met three years ago when £2,000 was raised for the Macmillan Nurses. This year they are hoping to raise between £3,000 and £4,000.
Club secretary Luke Haslam said: "It will not be the most serious game. It is an unspoken rule that people are here to see the stars so we will make sure they spend plenty of time at the crease.
"There is going to be something to do for all the family so even if they aren't interested in cricket, they can come down and have a good time."
The match starts at 12pm on the village green.
