Meanwhile, the bodies of two young women were discovered in a house at Camblesforth, near Selby, North Yorkshire, yesterday morning.

The deaths are being treated as suspicious, but North Yorkshire Police have not released the identities of any of the deceased.

The bodies of the two women were discovered by police officers when they were called to a house in Millfield Drive.

Commenting of the Camblesforth deaths, a police spokesman said: "The causes of the deaths of the two women are not yet clear, but police are treating their deaths as suspicious and detectives and forensic experts are at the scene.

"We want to hear from anyone who saw anything unusual or suspicious in the area of Millfield Drive between midday Saturday and 9am on Sunday."

The spokesman said the two Camblesforth women were believed to be related.

The house where the bodies were found - a large, modern, detached building which is split into four flats - was sealed off by police.

Officers guarded the front of the property and forensic teams wearing white protective clothing were seen working at the back. It is thought the pair were not well-known in the village.
