BUDDING artists are invited to attend an art summer school at the Bowes Museum at Barnard Castle this summer.
Workshops led by professional artists are available for 12 to 16-year-olds this August, inspired by the exhibition on show at the museum featuring works by artists who painted the French coast more than 100 years ago.
The first workshop will take place from Tuesday, August 10 to Thursday, August 12, and will encourage youngsters to make their own three-dimensional sculpture.
The second workshop will take place from Tuesday, August 24 to Thursday, August 26, focusing on painting the landscape and will include a visit to Souter Lighthouse.
The cost of each three day course is £25. Places must be booked. For details contact the Education Team on (01833) 690606 or visit www.bowesmuseum.org.uk
