A 5ft sculpture of a fish was unveiled at a Darlington school this week.
The sculpture was made by children at St John's CE Primary school, with the help of local actor and storyteller Robin Sellwood as part of Big Arts Week.
The sculpture, which was based on the children's novel The Rainbow Fish was made out of papier mache over a willow and wire-mesh frame and decorated with CDs and hand prints.
Mr Sellwood said: "The children really got into making it and every year group in the school was involved in some stage of its construction.
"It's what Big Arts Week is really about - getting children involved and inspiring them in the arts."
