MINI-BEASTS are set to invade Stockton libraries in the summer months.
The borough council's Children and Youth Services have arranged a series of one-hour talks about insects and mini-beasts by Bob Brown, from the Parks and Countryside Service.
A number of live insects that can be found around the borough will be brought in to give the children a chance to see them at close quarters.
The first talk takes place at Norton library on Friday, from 2pm to 2.45pm, then next Monday at Stockton central library from 2pm to 3.30pm.
They are followed by talks in Thornaby central library on Tuesday, August 3, between 2pm and 3.30pm, Westbury Street library in Thornaby on Wednesday, August 11, from 2pm to 3.30pm, and from 2pm to 3.30pm at Roseworth library on Tuesday, August 19.
The talks are free but place numbers are limited so children need to book a place at the library of their choice.
