THE start of the 28th Boltby Felixkirk Sutton and Thirlby gala was delayed on Saturday due to bad weather.
The annual inter-village event, this year hosted by Felixkirk, near Thirsk, started two hours late due to rain.
This year, the theme for the floats was Disney films, with Sutton presenting a Little Mermaid float, the Thirlby float featuring Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Felixkirk basing their presentation on the recent hit film Finding Nemo.
The afternoon's events included a two-and-a-half mile cross-country run, a senior citizens race, a three-legged race, sack races, water events and egg throwing.
The winning team was Thirlby, with Felixkirk second, Sutton third and Boltby fourth.
