DEVELOPER City & Northern has secured its first tenant at a Chester-le-Street business park.
Excel Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Catering Equipment has relocated from nearby premises to take offices at Angel Park, on the Drum Industrial Estate.
City & Northern is developing the Morton Palms business park, in Darlington.
Excel managing director Bradley Wood said: "Angel Park suits our business very well, both in terms of building quality and the location for serving our customers throughout the region.
"We had considered a move for some time, but until meeting City & Northern, had not seriously progressed the idea beyond speculation."
City & Northern managing director Elliott Ward said: "Angel Park was developed with high quality industrial tenants in mind and Excel fits that bill.
"It's a very significant first occupant and we hope to reveal details of a second tenant in the very near future."
Angel Park is the first major piece of land developed on Drum Industrial Estate by City & Northern.
Six industrial units of between 10,000 and 30,000sq ft have been designed by the award-winning Ian Belsham Associates and built by Metnor Construction.
The remaining five units are available for purchase or lease on flexible terms.
