YOUNGSTERS on the Red Hall estate, in Darlington, scaled a portable climbing wall as part of summer activities yesterday.
The wall, provided by Rock Antics, is one of a number of activities being held as part of a summer play scheme.
As well as the climbing wall, activities over the coming weeks will include American street games, football coaching, textiles, arts and crafts, nail art, an adventure day at South Park, swimming and a week-long trip to Hamsterley Forest.
Anyone wishing to become involved is invited to visit the community centre, in Headingley Crescent, between 10am and noon, or 1pm and 3.30pm on weekdays.
Events are open to five to 13-year-olds.
