RUNNERS will be able to have their running style assessed by experts in Darlington's Market Square next month.
People will be invited to get on a treadmill so they can find out which training shoes would suit them best, as part of a shoe lab on Sunday, August 8.
The free service is being offered from 9am to noon in conjunction with the town's 10K Road Run, which takes place on the same day.
Jeff Dawson, Darlington Borough Council's events manager, said: "Most runners have a particular style in the way they run.
"It's really important for people to wear the right sort of shoes, and by analysing their feet on the treadmill and filming them on a video camera we can give advice."
Entry forms for the 10K race are available from the Dolphin Centre, Darlington, or at www.runnersworld.co.uk.
