A COASTGUARD injured his ankle during a search operation.
After a 999 call, coastguards at Skinningrove, east Cleveland, were called out on Tuesday afternoon to search under Hummersea cliffs, near Staithes.
The call turned out to be a false alarm, but during the operation coastguard Paul Waugh, who ran 20 miles from Whitby to Saltburn earlier this month to raise money for Skelton Primary School, injured his ankle.
