COUNCILLORS have agreed to amend the terms of planning permission for a development in Darlington.
The borough council had given consent for an Argos distribution centre to be created on the Faverdale East Business Park, creating up to 700 jobs.
But the company queried conditions attached to the planning permission, including some relating to floodlighting and sound.
Members of the authority's planning committee agreed this week to alter them to allow work on the scheme to start early.
Work is expected to begin at the start of October.
