THREE Darlington boys appeared at the town's youth court yesterday, charged with burglary.
A 14-year-old and 13-year-old both admitted breaking into a WB Motor Company unit and stealing two quad bikes worth £2,000.
The 13-year-old was given a six-month referral order and his mother was ordered to pay £75 compensation.
Magistrates adjourned sentencing on the 14-year-old until August 13 for reports.
By committing the burglary, he was in breach of a conditional discharge imposed by the court in January for house burglary. Magistrates warned him he was facing a custodial sentence.
The case of a third boy, also 14, charged with the same offence, was adjourned until Friday at Darlington Magistrates' Court.
None of the youths can be identified for legal reasons.
