A MOTORCYCLIST has died following a collision with a car.
Keith Aspery, 43, of Hatfield Avenue, Acklam, in Middlesbrough, died in Scarborough Hospital on Thursday, after an accident involving a blue Vauxhall Astra on the A171 between Scarborough and Whitby on Sunday.
Mr Aspery is the ninth biker killed on North Yorkshire's roads this year. Police urged bikers and other motorists to ride and drive with care.
A spokesman said: "These deaths act to underline all our concerns about motorcycling.
"All our efforts, both in enforcement of traffic rules and education about the dangers, will continue.
"But it is not just about persuading the motorcyclists of the dangers - it is about making all the other road users aware of the issues too."
