A TOWN opened its gardens to the public at the weekend to raise funds for the local church.
Nine garden tours were open to view to visitors to Wolsingham.
The Reverend Malcolm Goodall said: "We do this every two years and it is a remarkable success.
"We had 280 visitors in 2002 and there are more this year. There are some lovely gardens and the weekend is well supported.
"Some people holiday here the same time every year and they like to come.
"Local people enjoy looking round as well.
"It takes a tremendous effort by the organisers to set it up and provide the teas. They do a wonderful job."
