DURHAM city centre came alive to the sound of music as folk enthusiasts gathered for their annual get-together.
The 15th Durham Folk Party started on Friday and finished yesterday and brought together a wide range of musicians, singers and folk dance groups.
Singaround sessions were held at Durham Rugby Club, the base for the event, and at pubs and there was a session devoted to sea shanties.
There were also displays of traditional dancing watched by shoppers and tourists in the Market Place on Saturday and yesterday afternoon.
The event also featured a ceilidh in Durham Town Hall featuring the Moorcock Band and Burt Hunter.
