A YOUNG cystic fibrosis sufferer had her wish come true when she was presented with a bicycle.
Sophie Thomas, seven, was given the bike by the Children's Wish Foundation and Brewsters restaurant chain, to help her keep active in between physiotherapy sessions.
The youngster, from Darlington, was presented with the bike by Kathryn and Bryony Frost, 19-year-old twins who are ranked first and second in the 2km steeplechase, and are medal hopefuls for next year's world championships.
The athletic twins presented the bike to Sophie at the Brewsters restaurant in Darlington.
The restaurant chain is supporting the Children's Wish Foundation to help raise funds to grant wishes for seriously and terminally ill children.
The twins said: "We are calling for all Brewsters customers to get behind the restaurant chain's support of Children's Wish Foundation to help more children like Sophie see their wishes come true."
