people in Stockton are invited to stop for a moment and take part in a democratic survey tomorrow.
Staff from Stockton Borough Council's democratic services, along with Connexions, will be in the High Street.
They will be asking people to pause and think about a message they would like to send to local councillors and MPs about what they like in Stockton and what they think should be changed.
Working with local artist, Paul Bainbridge, all the messages received will then be used as part of an exhibition at the Arc to celebrate Local Democracy Week in October.
Some of the topics people are being asked to think about include what they like about living in Stockton, what they would like to change, what would make things better and what can your councillor do for you.
Fran Kelly, the council's head of democratic services, said: "The council is always keen to hear residents views and this piece of work is especially exciting as it will contribute to an art exhibition to be shown during Local Democracy Week.
"We will, of course, ensure the comments and views we receive are passed on to the appropriate bodies."
