THE role played by the ambulance service will be highlighted during a roadshow in Stockton tomorrow.
It will be held at the Castlegate Shopping Centre from 10am to 4pm.
Staff and managers, from Tees East and North Yorkshire Ambulance Service (Tenyas) will how the 999 service operates from the time the call is received to the arrival of the ambulance.
Ambulances and a full range of life-saving equipment will also be on display and staff will teach life-saving skills, including cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, to adults and children.
Also taking part will be the non-emergency Patient Transport Service, the Patient Advice and Liaison Service, and the Education and Development Department.
Chief executive Jayne Barnes said the purpose of the event was to show the public the vast range of resources available, and demonstrate how Tenyas harnesses the latest technology to deploy its services as efficiently as possible.
