PEOPLE in Darlington borough are being urged to have their say on crime issues affecting local communities.
Police said there had been a disappointing response to a questionnaire in the borough council's Town Crier magazine, seeking opinions for a crime and disorder audit.
They want more people to offer their views so that policies to tackle the problems identified can be included in the forthcoming crime and disorder strategy.
Sergeant Paul Robinson, of Darlington police, said: "It is a chance for people to tell us what they think about what's happening in Darlington - crime and issues affecting quality of life.
"From the replies we have already got, anti-social behaviour is featuring highly, as is litter, graffiti and dog fouling."
The questionnaire can be completed in the latest edition of the Town Crier, or online by visiting the website at www.darlington.org.uk.
