Detectives in Harrogate have charged a 34-year-old man with murdering twin sisters and an elderly couple.
Officers have questioned Mark Hobson about the deaths of 27-year-old twins Claire and Diane Sanderson.
He has been charged with their deaths and the murders of James Britton, 80, and his 82-year-old wife Joan.
Mr Hobson, a former bin man from Camblesforth, North Yorkshire, is due to appear before Harrogate magistrates on Friday morning.
The bodies of Claire and Diane Sanderson were discovered in Camblesforth, near Selby, on 18 July.
Later that same day, Mr and Mrs Britton were found dead at their home in Strensall, near York.
