ENTRIES for this year's Sedgefield Show close today.
The 151st show will be held on the Robert Brown Showfield in West Park, Sedgefield, on Saturday, August 14.
The future of the show had been threatened by the foot-and-mouth outbreak, but volunteers have worked hard to maintain its long tradition.
The categories may have changed over the years, but local produce will be on display as it has been since the first show.
The horse section will be a strong feature this year, with Shetland ponies, Welsh ponies and the Dale classes on show.
Horticulture, handicraft, photography and writing categories are always popular, along with sections for guinea pigs, rabbits, poultry and other birds. There will also be a dog agility event.
