MEMBERS of Northern Defence Industries (NDI) walked away with business worth £1.45m after exhibiting at the Farnborough International Air Show.
NDI, the organisation that lobbies for work on behalf of companies in the region, took 15 members to the event, many of whom secured work or firm inquiries from large UK and foreign defence contractors.
MKW Engineering, based in Ryton, took the lion's share of the spoils with a £1.2m contract to supply components for use in naval communications systems.
