AYCLIFFE Fabrications has completed a steel sculpture that will stand at the entrance to a business park.
The artwork, designed by artists Lee and Jill Brewster, of LJB Design, will be at the entrance to North Seaton Industrial Estate, in Ashington, Northumberland.
It consists of interlinked stainless steel rings, which the artists say depicts that a large structure is stronger than the sum of its parts -relevant to an industrial estate whose success depends on the number of businesses it attracts.
This is the first time Aycliffe Fabrications, based in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, and LJB, based in Hurworth, near Darlington, have worked together, and there are further joint projects being discussed.
Dave Spensley, who runs Aycliffe Fabrications with Christine Bewley, said: "We have produced several sculptures in the past few years, and it is an interesting and expanding part of our business.
"We have been commissioned for several more projects, and while these are mainly North-East-based, we hope our growing reputation will attract business from across the UK."
