TEES Rowing Club member Vicky Chislett coxed the Aberdeen composite women's four which represented Scotland at the Home Countries International Regatta last weekend at Holme Pierrepoint, Nottingham.
Vicky's crew did not win but found the Home Countries event a great experience. There was a much tighter race in the eights race, half a length covering all crews at the finish.
Rowing conditions were very difficult with strong crosswinds demanding sound technique and the utmost in endurance.
Martin Leach, also a Tees member, did well too. He was in the crew that won the men's lightweight pairs competition at the national championships and so was selected to represent England. He and his partner from Nottingham went on to win gold at the Home Countries event.
Both Vicky and Martin now have the next few weeks off from training so will be seen around the Tees club helping with coxing and coaching, putting their high level experience to good effect.
