A GROUP of Spanish musicians are due to arrive in the North-East today.
The six musicians are the guests of businessman Gus Robinson, who is involved in house developments on the Costa Blanca.
Mr Robinson said: "The visit is part of the ongoing efforts to further promote good relations, tourism and investment between the Costa Blanca and Hartlepool. The group are from varying backgrounds and professions but are very talented musicians."
They include Pedro Martinez-Abarca de la Cierva, who comes from a family of lawyers in Murcia, and is the great-grandson of Juan de la Cierva, who invented the autogiro.
Other members of the group include Jose Fernandez Mesequer, an international sales engineer, a joiner and a builder.
During their visit, the band will meet Hartlepool Borough Council chairman Carl Richardson and economic development officers at the Civic Centre. They will also be visiting The Studio music venue in Tower Street for a recording session.
Tomorrow the band will provide entertainment at Gus Robinson's company barbecue.
